When you hear the word ‘aging’ or even ‘anti-aging’ for that matter, a picture of old age comes to the mind. This is a general perception perceived all around the world. Even the skincare brands & commercials approach, to the age group of 40-50s only, in the name of anti-aging.
Aging is inevitable. Our skin is exposed to physical and mental stress, pollution, sun damage (UV Rays), change in lifestyle, which may result in premature ageing. Additionally, habits such as rubbing or tugging the eyes, pulling face etc. end up to wrinkling the skin.
Aging is not only for people for people of 40s or 50s plus age. Our skin starts losing its collagen in the mid-20s. Thus, one may begin to see premature signs of the aging such as freckle, wrinkles, fine lines, sagging, dark spots (hyperpigmentation), patchy skin, dry skin, large pores, increased sensitivity etc. even in their 20s. Especially the area around eyes, where the skin is the thinnest, is the first to show wrinkles and fine lines. So it is always a good idea to prevent it before it begins. The idea stands to delay the ageing by start using the anti-aging product before you hit the 30s or 40s or 50s. However, it is never too late. If you haven't yet started, rise and shine my friend!
So how do Koreans approach it? In Korea, men and women are highly dedicated towards their skincare regime. They do not only address their present skin problems but also focus to prevent aging from the early 20s instead of waiting for it to show up. They target all the areas individually from face to eyes, lips, neck. Different people age at a different pace. One may start experiencing it in their early 20s while others may not see any sign of aging until their 40s. It all depends on how you take care of your skin over time, sun exposure, environment, food etc. But using right products at right time you can always save yourself the trouble.
